Thailand's Professional Golf Association (Thailand PGA) announced the results of its second Q-School field examination of 2026 on 30 October. The assessments took place at Watermill Golf Club & Resort in Nakhon Nayok province from 27 to 30 October, with 245 applications divided between two professional pathways. This was an assessment towards association membership, not a tour tournament awarding a winner's title.

Two pathways, two sets of results

For Tournament Player (TP) status, six of 38 applicants passed the on-course assessment. In the Golf Instructor (GI) category, 60 of 207 did so. Both figures come from Thailand PGA's official 30 October results announcement.

Importantly, the numbers describe successful assessments by category, not 66 different people. The association's two lists overlap: สิทธินนท์ นิลาพันธ์ and ประภวัต สว่างวงศ์ appear among the successful candidates in both categories. The instructor list also includes entrants marked CHN, KOR, USA and MYA, illustrating the range of applicants taking the assessment in Thailand; those labels do not change the event's location.

A 281 total sets the scoring benchmark

The lowest 72-hole total was recorded by พลัฏฐ์พล วิบูลย์วิริยะสกุล, whose four rounds of 74, 66, 69 and 72 added up to 281 strokes, seven under par. The calculation is consistent with four rounds at a par-72 course: 288 minus 281 equals seven strokes under par.

His position atop the field-test results does not represent a separate Thailand PGA Tour victory. Q-School is about meeting qualification standards: the organisation publishes assessment results for both aspiring tournament professionals and prospective instructors, rather than declaring a single champion.

Qualification is not complete yet

The next scheduled step is theory training from 10 to 14 November at Panya Indra Golf Club in Bangkok. According to Thailand PGA's 2026 Q-School timetable, registration opens on 1 November, and only candidates who passed the field stage may take this next step. The 30 October announcement therefore confirms field-stage passes, not the completion of every requirement for professional membership.

Published entry requirements for this intake included an official handicap of 9 or better. The programme separates competing professionally from teaching the game, a meaningful distinction for the development of Thailand's professional golf workforce and the standards expected in each role.
