A younger generation returns to northeastern Czech golf
The Czech Golf Federation (Česká golfová federace, ČGF) published its assessment of the 24th Dětská Tour Severovýchod (DTSV) season on 30 October 2026. Its clearest finding is that average entries per DTSV event rose 10% compared with 2025.
That figure measures registrations per tournament in this particular regional series; it is not a 10% increase in all Czech golfers or a verified change in the total number of unique junior players nationwide. Tour director David Jirků also reported that young golfers increasingly returned for multiple events rather than participating only occasionally.
Twenty-two DTSV events within a 65-tournament programme
The tour scheduled 22 competitions in 2026, all held as planned. Across the Czech federation's Region C, the wider junior calendar comprised 65 events: 22 DTSV tournaments, 41 Benjamin Tour competitions and two events recognised by the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).
According to the federation, golfers under 18 completed almost 2,000 competitive rounds in those regional tournaments. Those are rounds played, not 2,000 individual golfers. DTSV itself also accommodates older youth: its 2026 eligibility covered players born in 2000 or later, with a 17–26 age division.
A historic course at Semily returned to the schedule after 13 years. Double-points major events were staged at Mladé Buky, Grabštejn, Lázně Bohdaneč and Poděbrady.
Masters finale and season champions
The season-ending DTSV Masters took place at Kunětická Hora in Dříteč, near Pardubice, on 3 October, attracting close to 100 entries. Organisers observed that the youngest A (up to age 12) and B (ages 13–14) divisions now outnumber the older fields. They regard this as a reversal of a previous trend towards an ageing junior tour.
The five season ranking champions were Eliáš Kessler of Albatross GC (A, up to 12); Daniel Božić of GC Kunětická Hora (B, 13–14); Petr Zach of Královský GC Malevil (C, 15–16); František Rutte of Park GC Hradec Králové (D, 17–26); and Jan Valach of GC Pardubice (E, combined under-18 handicap division 36.1–54).
Golf Club Kunětická Hora won the annual club cup for the third consecutive time. The organisers' final table awards it 17,992 points, ahead of Park GC Hradec Králové on 11,884.
Two holes-in-one in one season: a tour first
The season also produced a distinctive record: for the first time in DTSV's 24-year history, two players each made a hole-in-one in the same season. They were Daniel Božić and Max Tomášek. The organisers separately documented Tomášek's ace on the eighth hole at Hradec Králové on 14 June; a hole-in-one is a ball holed from the teeing area in a single stroke, not simply any hole-out.
Beyond individual results, a full competitive calendar and more frequent starts provide local clubs with a stronger route for developing their youngest golfers across age groups.
