Sicily, known for the legendary film "The Godfather", offers not only cinematic landmarks but also unique golf courses that can surprise even the most experienced players. Although golf is not as popular here, the island boasts three courses, each with its distinctive features and challenges.

The first stop on the Sicilian golf course tour is the magnificent Verdura Resort on the southern coast, about a three-hour drive from Palermo. The resort features two world-class courses designed by renowned architect Kyle Phillips: the West and East courses, as well as a nine-hole Par-3 course. These courses, like Phillips' famous works at Kingsbarns Golf Links and Yas Links, attract golfers from around the world.

The West Course impresses with its last three holes located along the Mediterranean Sea. Playing here requires concentration, as the sea views can be distracting. The East Course also offers breathtaking views, and the putt on the 13th hole leaves unforgettable impressions thanks to the oceanic scenery.

The next stop for golfers could be the Il Piccolo Etna Golf Resort, situated at the foot of Mount Etna. This course demands precise accuracy, but the views and atmosphere make the visit worthwhile. Playing here is reminiscent of Harbour Town, only without the lighthouse.

Besides golf, Sicily offers the opportunity to immerse oneself in the atmosphere of "The Godfather". The town of Savoca, where scenes from the movie were filmed, attracts tourists with its narrow streets and Bar Vitelli café, where Michael Corleone first met Apollonia's father. Every corner here reminds one of the cult film, and the Church of San Nicolo, where Corleone's wedding took place, has become a true shrine for fans.

After a busy time on the island, the journey continues to the mainland, to Venice and Rome, where romance and art await visitors. Sicily leaves behind memories of golf, cinema, and enchanting leisure.
