Malaysia's junior golf calendar reaches a decisive stretch with the fourth leg of the SportExcel–MILO–NSC Malaysian Junior Premier Elite Golf Circuit 2026 at Kinrara Golf Club, Puchong, Selangor, from 31 October to 2 November. The organiser, SportExcel, confirmed the dates in its 28 October announcement, while the competition's registration and scoring platform, myevent.golf, independently lists the same venue and schedule.

Three rounds and six age-group competitions

The event is planned as 54 holes of stroke play, with one 18-hole round per day. Boys and girls compete separately in Categories A, B and C, covering players aged 11–18. The published entry limit is 92 players across the Premier and Junior divisions. Importantly, that is the field cap, not a confirmed final starting list.

SportExcel identifies the event as a World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) counting competition. Such events provide junior golfers with opportunities to test themselves against strong fields and, where the ranking's criteria apply, improve their international amateur standing. No specific ranking points can be projected before results and eligibility are established.

Electronic scoring and on-course discipline

Under the event's published conditions, competitors must enter scores hole by hole electronically, then submit a scorecard signed by the player and marker after each round. The tournament sets a deadline of ten minutes from completion of the round for returning the card. Electronic scoring therefore accompanies, rather than replaces, the competitor's responsibility for a verified score.

The conditions prohibit coaching during competition and restrict parents and spectators to the clubhouse, away from the playing area. Competitors in Categories A and B use buggies without caddies; Category C players may use a buggy with a caddie. These are event-specific conditions, distinct from the general Rules of Golf.

What the Kinrara leg means

Three legs of this circuit have already been played in 2026. The fourth will offer another measure of consistency as players work towards the season's concluding events. Entries are open to both Malaysian and international junior golfers.

Located in Puchong in the greater Kuala Lumpur region, Kinrara Golf Club has 18 holes, par 71, on a parkland layout associated with designers Ted Parslow and Roslee Muda. Its trees, bunkers and water features reward considered course management as well as ball-striking.

As of this 30 October preview, play has not begun. Results, winners and the final composition of the field must await official confirmation; they are not assumed here. Tournament scoring is to be followed through myevent.golf once rounds begin.
