Golf Monthly published a fresh, hands-on review of the Foresight Sports QuadMAX on 26 October 2026. This is not the product's launch date: QuadMAX originally debuted at the PGA Show in January 2024. The development is a new field-based evaluation, not another manufacturer announcement.
Four-camera optical capture
QuadMAX relies on four high-speed cameras, rather than radar as its primary measurement method. It reports ball speed, launch and side angles, spin, estimated carry, apex, descent and offline dispersion. Available club parameters include head speed, attack angle, path, delivered loft and lie, face angle, strike location and closure rate. Some output is calculated from observed motion; users should not treat every displayed value as a direct sensor reading.
The manufacturer lists dimensions of 12.5 × 7 × 4 inches, weight of 6.3 lb (2.86 kg) and a hitting zone of 18 × 14 inches. The removable 12,000 mAh battery is rated for approximately seven to nine hours. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB-C and Bluetooth.
What the new test found
Reviewer Sam De'Ath praised the touchscreen and MyTiles, which allows the user to customize the metrics visible on the unit. A teacher can prioritize club-path data; a driver fitter can look at ball speed, launch and spin without checking a separate tablet. This improves workflow, although it does not make the underlying optical measurement method new.
The Speed Training mode reads swing speed without a struck ball, using a reflective marker on the club or training aid. Putting analysis covers launch, skid, transition to full roll and face-to-path. Such measurements can inform practice; they do not guarantee a lower handicap.
QuadMAX is approximately 15% lighter than the GCQuad and has a wider carrying handle, which the reviewer found useful on the range and course. However, collecting complete club data still requires reflective stickers on the clubface. The review also criticized dated screen graphics given the price.
Price, packages and evidence
The listed US starting price is $19,999. Foresight says its US package includes clubhead measurement, essential putting analysis and 30 days of Foresight+ Gold. Region-specific bundles may vary. Simulator screens, computers, installation and ongoing software subscriptions can increase the total cost.
The Golf Monthly article provides valuable practical observations, but not a blinded accuracy benchmark or comprehensive per-parameter error table against an independent reference. A positive assessment of repeatability is not proof of absolute accuracy. Coaches and professional club-fitters who regularly capture detailed sessions may benefit most; occasional golfers should compare less expensive monitors before committing to a premium unit.
