Fifty-four holes to settle a season

On 3 November 2026, the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association published its official preview of the Daebo HouseD Championship, the final regular-tour event of the year. The tournament is scheduled for 6–8 November at Seowon Hills, part of Seowon Valley Country Club in Paju, Gyeonggi Province. The course is listed at par 72 and 6,649 yards. A restricted field of 60 players will compete for KRW 1.2 billion, including KRW 300 million to the winner. The championship has not started, and no final leaderboard exists.

This finale has an outsized effect on year-end awards. The champion receives 25% of the tournament purse, while the allocation of KLPGA Player of the Year points is weighted like a major. The Rookie of the Year title has already been settled, but Player of the Year (대상), the official KLPGA money title, the lowest scoring average and the multiple-win standings are still in play.

Two twenty-year-olds, two different leads

Seo Gyo-rim enters the week first in the Player of the Year standings on 563 points and second on the official money list with KRW 1,413,216,000. Kim Min-sol is second on points with 525, yet leads the money race at KRW 1,601,819,428. After the S-OIL Championship, Kim became the first player in KLPGA history to exceed KRW 1.6 billion in official single-season prize money. That milestone must not be conflated with career earnings or combined earnings on other tours.

KLPGA's qualification scenarios underline how much individual positions matter. Should Seo finish inside the top ten and collect points, Kim would need victory to pass her for Player of the Year. If Seo scores no points, Kim could claim the award by finishing tied seventh or better. A specific eighth-place scenario would yield Kim 38 points, tying the two on 563; KLPGA says Kim would win the award on the money-ranking tiebreak. These are prospective calculations, not scores already recorded.

Seo has described recovering from physical difficulties and expects to compete without major limitations. Kim has acknowledged the fatigue that comes with an extended season but says her condition is steady and she plans to prioritise her own execution over the outcome of the awards race.

A separate record opportunity for Lee Ye-won

Lee Ye-won, winner of the previous week's S-OIL Championship, is chasing consecutive victories. Another title would make her, according to KLPGA, the first golfer to win three tournaments in each of four consecutive KLPGA seasons, from 2023 through 2026. It remains a potential record, not an achievement already secured.

Money-list history could also change. Three players have already crossed KRW 1 billion in official 2026 KLPGA earnings; Lee is at KRW 934,060,098, while Yoo Hyun-jo has KRW 885,984,047. Depending on their finishing positions, the number of billion-won earners could reach five for the first time. Neither sponsorship money nor prize money earned on a separate tour should be added to these figures.

Why Seowon Hills matters

Lee has identified the course's demanding greens as a key strategic factor, saying she intends to leave herself more manageable putts through careful approach-shot placement. That distinction is important in a 54-hole stroke-play championship where the tournament winner and the season-long awards winner may not be the same person.

Defending champion Hwang Yu-min will be absent because she is competing in an LPGA event, KLPGA confirms. The organiser has also installed charitable target areas on the ninth and fifteenth fairways, with KRW 100,000 accrued in a player's name when a tee shot comes to rest in the designated zone; proceeds support two charities.

The three scheduled rounds will be broadcast on SBS Golf and Wavve. All standings and award scenarios here are pre-tournament figures published on 3 November, not live or final results. Once play begins, scoring must be checked against the official KLPGA leaderboard and the relevant round status.
