The 2026 JKC Junior Golf Tournament is taking place on 29–30 October 2026 at Royale Jakarta Golf Club in East Jakarta, according to the official Indonesian Junior Golf (IJG) calendar. The organiser lists the West–North course combination and identifies the event as an invitation-based competition. It is separate from the Menpora–PAGI international junior championship held earlier this month in Depok.
An invitational event with ranking recognition
IJG marks the competition “A WAGR Counting Event” and “Junior Golf Scoreboard Event Ranked.” Its listing also says “Member — Free by Invitation.” That wording matters: this is not an open-entry public festival, and eligibility should not be confused with participation. A tournament's appearance on ranking calendars does not mean every entrant automatically receives ranking points; the relevant bodies apply their own eligibility and scoring requirements.
The IJG Live Score page currently lists the JKC tournament among events in progress. At the time of writing, we have not verified an official final leaderboard for 30 October. This report therefore does not name winners or supply speculative scores.
The challenge of Royale Jakarta's West and North courses
Royale Jakarta has 27 holes arranged as three nine-hole courses: North, South and West. The venue's official course guide lists each nine-hole section as par 36. The West–North combination selected for this event consequently forms an 18-hole route of par 72. This describes the course, not a verified number of championship rounds or a confirmed scoring formula.
The club has staged multiple editions of the Indonesian Masters and describes using Sea Isle Supreme Paspalum turf across its playing surfaces. Junior golfers competing at a recognised championship venue encounter course-management and competitive demands that go beyond the numerical scorecard.
Australian invitations add an international dimension
The JNR Golf Association of Western Australia independently confirms the event's 29–30 October dates and invitation-only entry policy. It reports that four of its 2026 junior-tour winners earned tournament entry exemptions and accommodation: Sahei Suh and Liam Sullivan from the Vines events, and Kortni Houston and Declan Pereira from Melville Glades. These are awarded invitations, not evidence that the four players actually teed off in Jakarta; that requires verification against the confirmed field and starting lists.
The arrangement illustrates how Indonesia's junior calendar can provide competitive opportunities across national borders. Tournament experience, exposure to unfamiliar conditions and adherence to the Rules of Golf are valuable elements of player development, even when individual outcomes are not yet known.
What to verify after the closing day
The next reliable update should come from IJG's official results service, showing the final leaderboard, applicable divisions, holes completed and aggregate strokes. Until that record is available, neither champions nor specific ranking points should be asserted.
