Germany’s golf federation DGV has released the provisional 2027 league groups for 460 teams from 320 clubs. The season opens on 1–2 May; Berlin’s Stolper Heide hosts the northern Bundesliga opener, while Schloss Myllendonk stages the Final Four. Groups remain provisional until year-end.

Germany maps out next season before a ball is struck

On 21 October 2026, the Deutscher Golf Verband (DGV), Germany’s national golf federation, published the provisional league groups and venues for the 2027 club season. This is an administrative announcement, not a set of future competition results. It gives clubs time to plan travel, staffing and player availability across the AXA Deutsche Golf Liga presented by All4Golf.

The federation says 460 teams representing 320 clubs are set to compete. Around 3,380 players take part across the various fixtures on a matchday, according to DGV. The size of the competition is a reminder that German golf has a deep club-team structure extending well beyond the most visible professional tours.

A new northern opener and a different Final Four venue

The five-round league season is scheduled to begin on 1–2 May 2027, about two weeks earlier than the traditional mid-May opening. In the northern first Bundesliga, Berliner GC Stolper Heide is slated to host the opening fixture for both the women’s and men’s competitions — a first for this venue in that role. In the southern first Bundesliga, GC St. Leon-Rot is scheduled to welcome both competitions for the first round.

The season-ending Final Four is scheduled for 31 July–1 August 2027, at GC Schloss Myllendonk for the first time. The club is near Korschenbroich in North Rhine-Westphalia. This is a change of venue for the championship stage, not a prediction of which teams will qualify or win.

Why 'provisional' matters

DGV labels the newly released groups provisional. Clubs have until 31 December 2026 to arrange exchanges of matchdays; the federation says the final allocation will be released after that deadline. The newly published documents are therefore useful planning tools, not an immutable fixture list.

Playing formats vary by division. In the first Bundesliga, Saturday features singles and classic foursomes, with singles again on Sunday. In the second Bundesliga and regional leagues, Sunday includes singles and foursomes; lower levels use singles. Teams should refer to the detailed competition regulations for their division rather than assume the top-flight format applies everywhere.

What changes for clubs and supporters

Early venue confirmation lets teams estimate journeys, accommodation and team selection well in advance. Fans have two immediate calendar markers: a new opening host in the North and a new home for the Final Four. The wider story is about the infrastructure of German club golf: hundreds of teams sharing a national competitive pathway.
