Czech golf — the DP World Tour qualifiers in Spain. Czech professional Jiří Zuska has secured a place in the 2026 DP World Tour Qualifying School Final Stage, where playing rights for the 2027 season will be decided. He finished tied fourth on 268 strokes (12 under par) at Fontanals Golf Club, near Girona in Spain, after four rounds played from 29 October to 1 November. Importantly, qualifying for the final is not the same as securing a DP World Tour card. Both the Czech Golf Federation (ČGF) and the PGA of Czech Republic confirmed the outcome on 2 November.
A 62 that transformed his week
On the par-70 course, Zuska signed for 68, 69, 62 and 69. The first two rounds left him at three under, but a remarkable third-round 62 (eight under) on Saturday, 31 October, propelled him to 11 under and into a share of third place. His closing 69 took him to the eventual 12-under total and a tie for fourth.
The ČGF breakdown of the 62 lists seven birdies, one eagle and one bogey. Those holes account correctly for eight strokes below par: seven saved by the birdies, two by the eagle and one given back by the bogey. The final round was not entirely uneventful — back-to-back bogeys at the eighth and ninth tested his position — but he finished well inside the qualifying places.
The final hurdle is still ahead
The Final Stage is scheduled for 6–11 November at INFINITUM, Tarragona, Spain. Players will compete across six rounds, with the top 15 and ties earning 2027 DP World Tour playing privileges, under the tour's published qualification arrangements. A good finish at Fontanals therefore gives Zuska access to the deciding tournament; it does not yet confer a main-tour card.
The other Czech entrant in Second Stage, amateur Louis Klein, contested a different event at Golf Las Pinaillas in Albacete. Although he broke par in each of his four rounds, a nine-under aggregate left him three strokes short of advancing. Four Spanish venues hosted separate qualifying competitions over the same dates, so the two Czech performances must not be treated as entries in a single leaderboard.
Why the result matters
Zuska is now the Czech player carrying the nation's hopes into the last qualifying round. His weekend surge shows he can deliver an exceptional score under pressure in a deep international field. The decisive test will be whether he can sustain that scoring over the longer final stage and secure the playing opportunities he is seeking for 2027.
