The Turkish Golf Federation (Türkiye Golf Federasyonu, TGF) has confirmed the results of the 2026 TGF Cumhuriyet Kupası Under-18 competition, played at TGF Silivri Golf Sahası in the Istanbul area on 29–30 October 2026. The tournament brought together 43 junior golfers from several clubs. Ömer İlhan Şahin of Kemer Country Golf Club won the boys’ gross title, while Tansa Tuna of Ataşehir Golf Club led the girls’ gross division.
Şahin finishes two rounds in 145 strokes
Şahin carded a 145-stroke gross total, one over par (+1), to take first place among the under-18 boys. Orhan Kuran of Ataşehir Golf Club placed second on 166 (+22), followed by Zhenyu Feng of Kemer Country on 169 (+25). The winner’s margin over the runner-up was 21 strokes. These are gross stroke-play totals, not points or handicap-adjusted scores.
The performance came during a busy period for Şahin. On 22 October the federation had named him among the Kemer Golf Club players selected for a European club event in France. That is a separate competition: the results reported here relate only to the Republic Cup junior event at Silivri.
Tansa Tuna leads an Ataşehir sweep
Among the girls, Tansa Tuna won the gross division with 167 strokes (+23). Naz Doğru finished second at 171 (+27) and Bade Yalçın third at 172 (+28). All three represented Ataşehir Golf Club, giving their club every place on the girls’ gross podium.
Gross, net and Stableford: three distinct measures
The official TGF results also name winners in separate Medal Net and Stableford categories. The scoring formats must not be combined. Şahin also topped boys’ Category A Medal Net with 144 net strokes, while Doğru won girls’ Category A Medal Net with 141 net strokes. In Category B, where the federation reports Stableford points, Efe Oktay of Moda Golf Club led the boys with 74 points, and Ayşe Mina Gündoğar of Kemer Country led the girls with 77 points. Stableford points are not stroke totals.
This division of categories gives golfers with different playing levels meaningful competition while preserving an outright gross competition. It would be inaccurate to read the 144 net result as Şahin’s actual number of strokes; his verified gross total was 145.
Republic Day and Turkey’s junior club pathway
The tournament formed part of celebrations marking the 103rd anniversary of the Turkish Republic. Awards were presented after play, with national-team coaches Çağatay Ural and İdris Topar, and national-team committee member Adnan Salmanlı, taking part.
The 43-player field illustrates an active interclub junior calendar, although the federation does not describe it as a participation record. The adult Republic Cup event held in Dalaman was a separate tournament and its results should not be conflated with those from Silivri.
