Tiger Woods Supports Son Charlie at State Championship
Tiger Woods made his first public appearance after surgery, supporting his son Charlie at the Florida State Championship. Charlie, representing Benjamin School, achieved the best score of 68 strokes, helping his team win the title. Tiger might return to play at the PNC Championship in December.
Tiger Woods, a legend of global golf, made his first public appearance following his recent surgery. He was spotted at the Florida State Championship where his son, Charlie Woods, claimed victory. The tournament took place at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, where Charlie, representing Benjamin School, delivered an impressive performance with a score of 68, the best result in the final round, helping his team secure the title.
Tiger, who recently underwent disc replacement surgery, was supporting his son alongside his former wife, Elin Nordegren. Charlie, only 16, is already a rising star in junior golf, ranking fourth in the AJGA standings among his peers and ninth overall.
The team's coach, Toby Harbeck, recounted an unusual encounter with Elin on the day of the finals. He shared that he had a dream predicting Charlie's excellent result of 68 or 67 strokes, and he informed the young golfer's mother about it. The dream turned out to be prophetic as Charlie indeed finished the round with 68 strokes.
Currently, Tiger Woods is not revealing any plans regarding his return to professional golf and has not announced a date for his comeback. However, he might participate in the PNC Championship in December this year, where he traditionally plays alongside Charlie.
