Taiwan’s men’s tour returns to Taichung
The Da Jia Charity Open (中華大家功德會公開賽) begins on 4 November 2026 at Ching Chuan Kang Golf Course (空軍清泉崗高爾夫球場) in Taichung’s Qingshui District. It is a stop on the 肇喜登峰巡迴賽 series within the men’s Taiwan PGA Tour (TPGA). The TPGA’s official calendar lists the event for 4–7 November, with a total prize purse of NT$3 million.
On 3 November the TPGA published updated morning and afternoon first-round groupings. Its official entry list had also been updated by 1 November, providing a clearer picture of the event’s preparations. At the time of this report, the official competition page did not yet provide confirmed opening-round results. No leader or winner should therefore be attributed to the 2026 edition.
A distinct event on the domestic calendar
This is a men’s domestic professional tournament, not another report on the Wistron Ladies Open, the women’s TLPGA/Ladies European Tour event that concluded in Taiwan on 1 November. A separate TPGA stop offers a competitive opportunity for players on the national men’s circuit, with performance over the tournament week determining their positions on the leaderboard.
The NT$3 million figure is the advertised prize purse; the event’s charitable name should not be read as proof of a specific donation or the amount raised for charity. No such financial outcome has been established by the documents reviewed.
What happened here last year?
The same course hosted the event in July 2025. Huang Yi-zeng (黃議增) claimed a four-stroke victory on 5 July 2025, finishing four rounds at 267 strokes (21 under par). It was his first Taiwan PGA Tour title and a meaningful career breakthrough, according to the published final-round report.
That historical result provides context for the course and competition, but it is not evidence of a lead or a successful title defence in 2026. This year’s final score remains to be decided.
What to watch
The key confirmed facts ahead of play are the 4–7 November dates, Ching Chuan Kang venue, NT$3 million prize purse and first-round tee groups. The opening-round leaderboard and the eventual champion will need to be checked against TPGA’s official scoring once results become available.
