Predictions for World Wide Technology Championship: Subpar's Bets of the Week

This week in Mexico, the FedEx Cup Fall PGA Tour event — World Wide Technology Championship — kicks off at El Cardonal in Diamante Cabo San Lucas. Among the tournament participants are stars like Ben Griffin and J.J. Spaun, as well as 2023 U.S. Open winner Wyndham Clark. However, Subpar podcast hosts Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz are placing their bets on young golfers.

Drew Stoltz highlights Johnny Keefer, who recently topped the Korn Ferry Tour rankings and is preparing to debut on the PGA Tour next season. Keefer is ranked 53rd in the world, and a successful performance at El Cardonal could lift him into the top 50, opening the path to a Masters invitation. Stoltz is confident in Keefer: "I'm picking a newcomer to the PGA Tour who has already made it into the top 50 of the world rankings. He deserves a spot in the top 20 in this tournament."

Colt Knost is betting on Michael Brennan, who recently won the Bank of Utah Championship thanks to a sponsor invitation. "I don't know if he can repeat the success, but he has every chance to make it into the top ten. He plays powerfully, and this course suits him," Knost believes.
