GOLF.com equipment editor Jack Hirsh admits that he is difficult to shop for when it comes to golf gifts. He already has multiple sets of clubs, balls, bags, rangefinders, shoes, brushes and launch monitors. Still, a few items he does not receive through his job—and that his fiancée has not bought him—have made his 2026 holiday wish list.
Sun Mountain Matchplay Duffel — $240
The premium Sun Mountain Matchplay Duffel is designed for trips to the clubhouse, the gym and weekend travel. It has three pockets and a dedicated shoe compartment, along with chrome accents and diamond stitching. It can be carried by its durable handle or removable shoulder strap with quick-release buckles.
Hirsh says he is past the point of walking into a nice clubhouse with a backpack containing a change of clothes. He is also tired of emptying his bag every time he takes a day trip. He thinks this duffel would pair well with his Sun Mountain Matchplay Swift golf bag.
Therabody SmartGoggles 2.0 — $219.99
The redesigned SmartGoggles combine compression massage, heat and vibration around the forehead, eyebrows and temples. They offer three treatments: SmartRelax, which adjusts to heart rate; a headaches and eye-strain setting; and sleep preparation. Temperature and intensity can be adjusted, and treatments can be customized in the Therabody app.
The goggles feature a fully blackout design, an adjustable strap, a foldable body and up to 180 minutes of battery life. The app also includes TheraMind sound programs. Therabody says the device’s benefits have been supported by SleepScore Labs research; SmartGoggles is registered with the FDA as a medical device.
Hirsh plays roughly five to 10 tournaments each year and says he has trouble sleeping before any competition, from a mid-amateur qualifier to a club championship final. He has used a Theragun for five years and travels with a Therabody sleep mask, so he believes SmartGoggles could help him relax before an important round.
Claire W. Royal Dornoch Golf Course Map — $40
This watercolor-style map of Royal Dornoch Golf Club is printed at 11 by 14 inches on textured cardstock. It depicts the club’s 18-hole Championship Course in Dornoch, Sutherland, Scotland. The map is sold unframed.
Hirsh says he is drawn to golf-related wall art. He would like to add a minimalist course map to his home, inspired by the maps behind the desk of his colleague Josh Berhow, GOLF’s managing editor. Royal Dornoch is one of Hirsh’s favorite places; other available options include Harbour Town, Pebble Beach and St. Andrews.
SuperSpeed Force Board Pro — $149.99
The Force Board Pro is a dual-sided adaptive training platform designed to improve balance and stability and increase ground-reaction forces. The package includes a 30-by-18-by-0.5-inch platform, two green circle attachments, two gray oval attachments, two red tri-circle attachments, eight yellow pegs and a carrying bag.
The platform is large enough for a driver-width stance and sits only slightly above the ground, allowing golfers to hit balls from it. It includes lifetime access to all Level 1 protocols in the SuperSpeed app for iOS and Android; additional protocols and a custom training program are available with a Premium upgrade.
Hirsh previously trained with the SuperSpeed Speed Sticks Pro system and enjoyed the results. He believes the Force Board Pro could help him manage pressure into the ground more effectively during his swing. He already owns the SuperSqueeze grip-strength trainer.
Peter Millar Merge Hybrid Men’s Golf Jacket — $255
The Merge is designed for golf, fitting close enough to stay out of the way during the swing while leaving room for layering. Its insulated front panel is water-resistant and windproof, while the stretch-knit back and sleeves provide mobility. The jacket has two zippered side pockets and a two-way zipper.
Hirsh naturally runs warm, so even during cool fall and spring rounds in New England he rarely needs more than one or two layers. Still, he has seen many golfers wearing Peter Millar hybrid jackets and would like one himself. The full-length zipper would let him wear it over a lighter layer and remove it as he warms up.
