Minji Park fires bogey-free 65 to share second at BMW Ladies Championship
Seven birdies and no bogeys gave Minji Park a round-of-the-day 65 and a share of second, four strokes behind Haeran Ryu with 18 holes left.

South Korean golfer Minji Park produced one of Saturday's standout performances at the BMW Ladies Championship. On October 24, 2026, she completed the third round at Pine Beach Golf Links in Haenam with a bogey-free seven-under 65. Her 54-hole total of 203, or 13 under par, left her tied for second and four shots behind leader Haeran Ryu with one round remaining.
Park's progress has been steady across all three days: an opening 70, a second-round 68 and then her 65 on Saturday. Seven birdies without a dropped shot were especially valuable as heavy rain complicated play on the course. Korean tournament coverage identified her 65 as the day's lowest score.
The leaderboard offers a striking contrast in styles. Ryu leads at 17 under after rounds of 67, 64 and 68. Park shares second place at 13 under with fellow Korean Hye-Jin Choi and Japan's Yuri Yoshida. Choi made headlines with an eight-under 28 on the front nine, then surrendered several shots on the back nine and signed for 66. Park's round was less dramatic but free of the mistakes that can erase early gains.
Park is a highly accomplished competitor on the domestic KLPGA Tour. Playing the LPGA's South Korean stop gives her a chance to measure herself against an international field, including established LPGA winners and fellow Korean contenders. The opportunity is real, but so is the challenge: Ryu holds a four-shot advantage entering the final 18 holes.
There is no guarantee that another low round will be enough. Park and the other chasers need to create birdie chances while limiting the sort of setbacks that proved costly for several players on Saturday. A measured game plan may be essential if the weather remains difficult.
The championship is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, October 25. These figures describe the standings after round three on October 24, not the final tournament outcome.
