2026 Walker Cup: TV Schedule, Streaming and How to Watch

The 2026 Walker Cup, the biennial amateur team match between the United States and Great Britain and Ireland, begins this week at Lahinch Golf Club in Ireland. Each team will feature 10 players.

This year’s event will be played one year after the previous Walker Cup, which took place in 2025 at Cypress Point in California. The USGA and R&A moved the Walker Cup to even-numbered years beginning with this edition to avoid scheduling conflicts with the World Amateur Team Championships.

The 2026 Walker Cup will be the 51st playing of the Ryder Cup-style event. The United States owns an overall record of 40 wins, nine losses and one tie.

The matches will be contested over two days. On Saturday, Sept. 5, the teams will play four morning foursomes matches and eight singles matches. On Sunday morning, they will play another four foursomes matches before all 20 players compete in 10 singles matches in the afternoon.

At last year’s Walker Cup, the United States dominated Sunday singles at Cypress Point and won 17-9. Great Britain and Ireland will now look to reclaim the trophy on home soil.

Golf Channel will provide complete U.S. television coverage of the event. Because of the time difference, coverage will begin early each morning.
