Two events remain in the KPGA season, and the first could decide the Genesis Points title before the finale even begins. On 27 October, Shin Sang-hun led the Korean men's professional circuit with 5,255.51 Genesis Points. Jeong Chan-min followed on 4,744.77, with Jang Yu-bin third on 4,576.75. Shin's margins are 510.74 and 678.76 points respectively. These are season-ranking points, not earnings and not stroke totals.
The next event. The 2026 Lexus Masters runs 29 October–1 November on Club72's Ocean Course in Incheon, South Korea. The scheduled contest covers four rounds of stroke play on a par-71, 7,076-yard course. The purse is KRW 1 billion, with KRW 200 million for the champion; the winner also earns 1,000 Genesis Points. The tournament has not started, so there is no current scoring leaderboard. Its dates and competition page are listed by the KPGA.
How Shin could clinch the season award. The 27 October Korean tournament report sets out a specific combination: a Lexus Masters victory for Shin, Jeong finishing outside the top three and Jang finishing second or worse would be enough for Shin to secure the Genesis Daesang before the final event. That is a conditional points scenario, not a forecast. Other finishing combinations could leave the title open into November.
A form contrast among the contenders. Jeong surged to second in the season standings after taking 1,000 points for his 18 October victory at The Charity Classic. He has also posted two runner-up finishes and six top-10s this season, and the Korean report credits him with the tour's leading 69.54 stroke average. Jang has two wins this season but has gone five consecutive tournaments without a top-20 finish since a tie for second at the Shinhan Donghae Open in September. Both have room to change the race substantially at Lexus Masters, but neither can do so by points already banked.
The other contest is for the season finale. The KPGA Tour Championship in Jeju begins 5 November. Only the top 70 players in Genesis Points after Lexus Masters are due to qualify, making this week's result consequential far beyond the three men at the top. For golfers near the qualification boundary, finishing position in Incheon may determine whether their competitive season continues.
And there is still a tournament trophy to win. Defending champion Kim Jae-ho, whose 2025 victory came through a four-player play-off, returns for another chance. Park Sang-hyun and Ham Jeong-woo are also in the field. The change of venue to Club72's Ocean Course adds another variable compared with the previous edition in Yeoju.
Rankings stated as of 27 October, before the opening round. Once play begins, scores and start times should be checked against the KPGA's official leaderboard.
