Lee Ji-hyun III (이지현3) took the outright lead of the 2026 KLPGA S-OIL Championship on Saturday, October 31. After 54 holes at Elysian Jeju Country Club, she stands at 204 strokes (−12), one ahead of former leader Lee Ye-won. This is the completed third-round position, not the tournament result; Sunday's final 18 holes are still to be played.

Three rounds of 68 tell the story

Lee Ji-hyun III has now produced 68–68–68, an aggregate of 204 on a par-72 course. Her third round contained six birdies and two bogeys, for a four-under 68. She gained momentum with four consecutive birdies from holes 4 through 7, then lost ground with two bogeys before recovering with birdies at the par-3 16th and par-4 17th.

The striking statistic is consistency rather than one exceptional low round. Lee, who began competing on the KLPGA's main tour in 2019, is seeking her maiden tour title. Before this event she had recorded seven top-10 finishes in 26 starts this season, including three ties for third.

A three-player final group separated by two shots

Lee Ye-won is second on 205 (−11). After opening 67–68, the 10-time KLPGA winner posted 70 (−2) on Saturday. Lee Jae-yun is third on 206 (−10). The three will head into the final day separated by just two strokes, leaving little room for error but plenty of room for a change of lead.

There was also a major move by Kim Min-sol, the leader of the season's official money ranking. Having slipped to a tie for 55th after round two, she made eight birdies and one bogey for a seven-under 65. Her three-round total is 210 (−6), tied eighth and six behind the leader. That strengthens her position in this event, but does not establish a tournament victory or settle the season's money-list race.

The final-round stakes

The tournament is played over 72 holes of individual stroke play on Elysian Jeju's Lake and Pine nines. The purse is KRW 1 billion, including KRW 180 million for the eventual winner. For Lee Ji-hyun III the prize would be a first KLPGA title; for Lee Ye-won it would be an 11th. With only one stroke between them, one birdie or bogey can turn the contest.

All scores and positions are final for round three on October 31, not for the championship. The decisive fourth round is scheduled for November 1.
