Mallorca has secured the HotelPlanner Tour season finale for another four years. On 28 October 2026, the tour and the Balearic Golf Federation announced a new agreement keeping the Road to Mallorca Grand Final on the Spanish island from 2027 through 2030. The decision comes on the eve of the event that will settle the promotion race into the DP World Tour.

A settled home, with more courses in prospect. The tour first arrived in Mallorca in 2019. According to the organisers, the island has hosted the season-ending tournament seven times at two venues: Club de Golf Alcanada and T Golf Calvia. The 2026 Grand Final returns to Alcanada. Over the next four seasons, organisers intend to explore other leading courses around the island. No definitive list of new venues or year-by-year rota has been announced, so the proposal should not be mistaken for confirmed individual course bookings.

Why it matters for players. The Grand Final determines the final Road to Mallorca standings and provides a route to DP World Tour playing rights. Previous graduates highlighted by the organisers include Ángel Ayora, Martin Couvra, Casey Jarvis and Daniel Hillier. Former Grand Final champions Marco Penge and Kristoffer Reitan later made their mark on the DP World Tour. A long-term hosting agreement therefore secures more than a picturesque location: it preserves the setting of a consequential sporting and career milestone.

HotelPlanner Tour Director Jamie Hodges welcomed the extension and praised the conditions previously provided by Alcanada and T Golf Calvia. He also expressed enthusiasm for taking the finale to more courses. Balearic Golf Federation president Bartolomé Tous Aguiló stressed the event's international profile for Mallorca and its importance to players trying to reach the DP World Tour. Neither statement confirms the specific host course for every future edition.

This week's sporting stakes. The 2026 Grand Final runs 29 October–1 November at Club de Golf Alcanada. It features 45 competitors, with 15 players due to earn DP World Tour cards for 2027 through the season rankings. The official calendar lists a €500,000 prize fund, 4,000 Road to Mallorca ranking points, and 640 ranking points for the tournament winner. Ranking points are not stroke scores or cash prizes.

As of the 28 October announcement, the 2026 Grand Final had not begun its competitive rounds, and its eventual winner and final promotion places remained undecided. The four-year Mallorca hosting extension is already official.
