Polish golfer Adrian Meronk reportedly has no intention of signing a new contract with LIV Golf 2.0 following Jon Rahm’s departure. Eurosport journalist Jacek Person reported the news on X on Wednesday.

If confirmed, the report would represent another significant blow to LIV. Rahm, who joined the league in late 2023 after winning the Masters, recently confirmed that he will not participate in a rebooted LIV 2.0. His lawyers called the proposed terms “unacceptable” in bankruptcy court.

Meronk joined LIV in November 2023, one month after being named DP World Tour Player of the Year. Before that, he had won twice on the European tour in both 2022 and 2023. In 2025, the Polish golfer won the LIV Golf Riyadh event.

Meronk’s future became uncertain after Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund withdrew its funding from LIV and the league filed for bankruptcy. But last week, Meronk won the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, shooting a final-round 68 at the Old Course in St. Andrews to win by two shots.

It was Meronk’s fifth career DP World Tour victory. The win secured his tour status through 2028 and affected his plans for next season.

“To be honest, it’s a little bit unknown. I came here after the LIV season was done to keep my status, to keep my playing rights for next season. This helps me tremendously. I’m going to have to reevaluate my goals, my schedule and what my future will look like,” Meronk said after the tournament.

Speaking about LIV 2.0, he said there were still “a lot of unknowns” surrounding the project.

“It’s been a strange year on LIV, obviously finding out about the Saudis backing off and finding new investors. There are still a lot of unknowns. From a player’s perspective, it’s hard to make a decision, so I’ll wait and see what happens. But this win means I really have to reconsider my options,” he added.

According to Person’s report, that reconsideration now appears to have led Meronk toward the DP World Tour.

LIV is facing serious difficulties assembling a field for a possible relaunch next year. The league needs several stars to remain in order to attract investment and keep the project alive. Outside of Bryson DeChambeau, Rahm was its biggest star and one of its strongest players.

Another warning sign came last week, when Sergio Garcia’s lawyers filed a court request to officially terminate his LIV contract so he could explore other career opportunities. That request was granted this week. Garcia’s lawyers stressed that the termination does not necessarily mean he will refuse to commit to LIV 2.0, but several other players have reportedly asked for the same permission.
