2026 Baycurrent Classic prize money: Michael Brennan earns $1.44 million

Michael Brennan held off Jacob Bridgeman and Keith Mitchell on Sunday at Yokohama Country Club to win the Baycurrent Classic. It was Brennan’s third PGA Tour title in 12 months.

“Unbelievable. It was an unbelievable week. Japan was spectacular, the fans were amazing this week,” Brennan said after the victory.

Keith Mitchell, still searching for his first win since the 2019 Honda Classic, took the lead on the front nine with three birdies and an eagle. He then dropped shots at Nos. 9 and 12, leaving him one shot behind Brennan heading into the closing stretch. Mitchell striped his tee shot on No. 18 and left himself a 10-foot birdie putt to tie Brennan at 16 under, but the putt missed.

“I felt like every part of my game held up except a couple putts here and there. Probably hit the best two shots in my life—the tee shot on 18 and the 7-iron on 18. Unfortunately, the putt wasn’t as good as I got. So if I can give it the same as the long shots, maybe we’re having a different conversation,” Mitchell said after finishing T2.

Bridgeman, who won the Biltmore Championship last month, also had a chance to catch Brennan, but he missed a 5-foot birdie putt on No. 17. He finished T2 alongside Mitchell.

“Was able to make some putts at important times that I needed; that one on 17 is going to sting a little bit,” Bridgeman said.

Defending champion Xander Schauffele shot a final-round 4-under 67 to finish T4 with Brian Harman, Jordan Smith, Ryan Gerard and Stephan Jaeger.

“I definitely played good enough golf to win this tournament,” Schauffele said.

Brennan took home a $1.44 million winner’s check and set his sights on earning a spot on the 2027 U.S. Ryder Cup team.
