KLPGA rising star Minsol Kim ties for fourth at BMW Ladies Championship after closing 67
KLPGA standout Minsol Kim, 20, closed with a five-under 67 to share fourth at the BMW Ladies Championship on 15-under 273, two shots behind first-time LPGA winner Yuri Yoshida.
South Korean golfer Minsol Kim capped the BMW Ladies Championship in Haenam with a share of fourth place, delivering a final-round 67 on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The 20-year-old finished on 15-under-par 273 after four rounds at Pine Beach Golf Links. Fellow Korean Hyo Joo Kim matched that total, according to the official LPGA results.
A strong finish. Minsol Kim's four scorecards read 70, 66, 70 and 67. She started the last round at ten under and picked up five more strokes against par to finish at minus 15. Hyo Joo Kim, a seasoned LPGA winner, reached the same aggregate with rounds of 69, 69, 67 and 68.
Only two behind the winner. Japan's Yuri Yoshida captured the BMW Ladies Championship at 17-under 271 for her first LPGA Tour victory. South Korea's Haeran Ryu and Hye-Jin Choi shared second at 16-under 272. That left Minsol Kim just two strokes from the title and one behind the runners-up after 72 holes.
A Korean talent with an already substantial résumé. Kim arrived with proven winning form on the domestic KLPGA Tour. In the first half of 2026 she won the iM Financial Open in April, the Korea Women's Open in June and the McCol–Mona Yongpyong Open later that month. Her late-June triumph was the fifth professional KLPGA title of her career at that point. She is officially regarded as a KLPGA rookie in 2026 because she joined the main tour partway through 2025 and had not made enough starts to qualify for rookie-award calculations last season.
Why fourth place matters. Finishing so close to the winner in a full LPGA event is a meaningful comparison with an international field. It does not, on its own, grant LPGA membership or playing rights, but it provides another substantial piece of evidence that Kim's success in South Korea can translate to a global stage.
A narrow margin at the top. Just two shots covered the first five finishers' positions, from Yoshida's 271 to the two players tied fourth on 273. In a tournament decided over four rounds, the smallest differences made the podium. Kim's closing 67 ensured she was part of that tight leading group rather than merely a distant contender.
