Three French professionals transformed the final regular-season event of the 2026 DP World Tour into a major step towards the season finale. On Sunday, October 25, Martin Couvra and Frédéric Lacroix shared second place at the Genesis Championship in South Korea, while compatriot Antoine Rozner tied for fourth. All three secured berths in the Race to Dubai Play-Offs.
At Woo Jeong Hills Country Club, Couvra and Lacroix finished at 11-under-par 273, two strokes behind Japanese champion Yuto Katsuragawa, who won at 13 under. Rozner ended the week at 10 under, one shot behind the French runners-up. Their combined performance gave France three players in the top five at a moment when every ranking point mattered.
Couvra's consistency was the foundation of his runner-up finish. His rounds of 69, 66, 69 and 69 contained just two bogeys across 72 holes. He closed with a bogey-free two-under 69 and recorded his best DP World Tour finish of 2026. Lacroix took a more attacking route to the same result: five birdies and two bogeys produced a closing three-under 68, lifting him seven places on the final day. Rozner also threatened to make it an all-French podium after recovering from back discomfort on Saturday, but a double bogey on the par-three 16th in the final round proved costly.
The ranking consequences are substantial. Couvra jumped 39 spots, from 66th to 27th in the Race to Dubai, securing not only his place in Abu Dhabi but also a start in the season-ending DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. Lacroix moved from 78th to 42nd and Rozner from 77th to 64th. Both qualified for the first Play-Offs event, the Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship on November 5–8. Only the top 50 after that event advance to the final in Dubai, so neither Lacroix nor Rozner can take that next step for granted.
Three compatriots — Julien Guerrier, Victor Perez and Tom Vaillant — will join them in Abu Dhabi, bringing the French contingent to six. France still has no winner on the 2025–26 DP World Tour season, but this late surge gives its players fresh momentum and raises the stakes heading into November. The scores and qualification positions were cross-checked against DP World Tour reporting and the French Golf Federation's October 25 report. The accompanying generic golf photograph does not show the players or the event.
