The 2026 Presidents Cup begins Thursday, Sept. 24, at Medinah No. 3 in Chicago. The opening day will feature five matches between the U.S. and International teams.

All five matches on Day 1 will be played in the four-ball format. Each player plays their own ball, and the lower score from each team counts for the hole.

Each match will feature two players from the U.S. team and two from the International team. The captains select their players and matches independently, so neither captain knows the other captain’s selections while making them. Not every player competes in each session: two players from each team will sit out on Thursday.

U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker and International captain Geoff Ogilvy will announce the Thursday selections Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 4:45 p.m. ET live on Golf Channel.

Golf Channel will provide exclusive television coverage of the opening day from 12:30-7 p.m. ET. The action will also be available via a live simulcast on GC Mobile.

The Thursday matches and tee times will be added once the pairings are announced.
