A one-stroke finish at Máriavölgy
Hungary's Botaniq MidAm Masters took place on 17–18 October 2026, with 90 players listed on the official GOLFiGO results board. At Botaniq Máriavölgyi Golf Klub, competitors completed a two-round, 36-hole individual stroke-play event.
Krämer András finished first on the overall gross leaderboard with 148 strokes, four over par. Hatvári Árpád Hugó and Novák Botond each returned 149 (+5), one stroke behind. The score totals, rather than an assumed count of birdies or bogeys, establish the margin.
GOLFiGO is the official tournament-results platform linked to the Hungarian Golf Federation (Magyar Golf Szövetség). Its listing identifies this as a club competition, not the Hungarian national championship or a professional tour event.
Club titles: separate men's and women's results
In the Botaniq men's club champion classification, Krämer claimed the title with 148. Novák Botond (149) was second, with Bodrogi Kornél (152, +8) third. The club championship is a distinct leaderboard from the overall results, which also include Hatvári at 149.
The women's club champion category was won by Gölcz Rebeka with 164 strokes (+20). Wieser-Takács Zsuzsa followed on 174 (+30) and Pintér Panka on 178 (+34).
The mid-amateur categories
The official men's MidAm gross category contains 55 players. Krämer also led this classification on 148, ahead of Hatvári Árpád Hugó (149) and Rádonyi Kristóf (152).
In the women's MidAm gross category, comprising 20 entrants, Wieser-Takács Zsuzsa finished first with 174, followed by Sütő Csilla (184) and Huong Luu Thi Thu, known as “Hajni” (185). Her category win should not be confused with Gölcz's win in the separate women's club championship: eligibility and classification are not identical.
The event also carried handicap-adjusted net divisions and a separate under-25 net classification, listing 15 players. A net result, even when displayed as a negative number relative to par, is not the player's unadjusted gross stroke total.
Why the result matters in Hungary
This was a substantial late-season domestic amateur event: 90 names on the results board, 36 holes across two days, competitive top-end gross scoring, club championships and mid-amateur fields for women and men.
The Hungarian Mid-Amateur Golf Association (Magyar Mid-Amatőr Golf Sportegyesület) sets out a league framework for amateur golfers aged 25 or older in the relevant season, with results from designated events contributing to seasonal classifications. The Máriavölgy fixture brings together that competitive pathway and regular club play.
Most importantly, the event produced a clear one-stroke overall victory while recognising different winners across categories. It is important not to mistake a club title or mid-amateur classification for a national championship.
