The field is set for the Rolex Grand Final supported by The R&A, the season-ending HotelPlanner Tour event with far more than a trophy at stake. Forty-five leading players on the Road to Mallorca rankings will compete at Club de Golf Alcanada from October 29 to November 1, 2026. The final season standings will determine 15 players earning DP World Tour cards for 2027.
The tournament carries a €500,000 purse, but promotion is the larger prize. This season's qualification race is particularly unforgiving: the number of DP World Tour cards available through the HotelPlanner Tour has fallen from 20 to 15. A strong position going into the week is an advantage, not a guaranteed finishing spot.
Denmark's Hamish Brown leads the standings after winning the penultimate event in Hangzhou. Sweden's Christofer Blomstrand, twice a winner in August, is second, while Dutch golfer Lars van der Vight is third. Van der Vight's breakout season included a remarkable 59 at the German Challenge and a later victory at the Hainan Open. Spain's 22-year-old Pablo Ereño is fourth after recording eight top-ten finishes.
The sharpest pressure point is the line separating 15th and 16th. Englishman Matthew Southgate enters the final holding the last provisional promotion spot; South Africa's Louis Albertse is immediately behind him. Neither position is final. Four-time DP World Tour winner David Horsey is also among the 45, looking for a route back to the higher circuit.
The coastal Club de Golf Alcanada near Alcúdia stages the season finale for the sixth time. Four rounds will decide the tournament winner and the 15 graduates. As of October 26, play has yet to begin, so no promotion outcome should be treated as settled.
