A new women’s Pro-Am is set for 3–5 May 2027 at Royal Dornoch, Nairn and Castle Stuart in Scotland. The organisers envisage 36 four-player teams and a conditional professional prize fund of about £12,000.

SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS | 27 October 2026. Highland Golf Links has announced its first Women’s Pro-Am, bringing professional and amateur women golfers together for three competitive rounds across three established links courses. The inaugural event is scheduled for 3–5 May 2027, and expressions of interest are being accepted. It is a future event, not a tournament that has already taken place.

Three links courses, three distinct challenges

Each team is due to play one round at Royal Dornoch Golf Club, one at Nairn Golf Club, and one at Castle Stuart Golf Links at Cabot Highlands. The venues will be played on rotation over the three competition days. Royal Dornoch occupies a coastal setting beside the Dornoch Firth; Nairn lies on the Moray Firth; and Castle Stuart overlooks the same firth closer to Inverness. The combination offers contrasting links contours, wind exposure and shot-making decisions rather than repeated rounds on one course.

Confirmed venue addresses: Royal Dornoch Golf Club, Golf Road, Dornoch IV25 3LW; Nairn Golf Club, Seabank Road, Nairn IV12 4HB; and Castle Stuart Golf Links at Cabot Highlands, Dalcross, Inverness IV2 7JL. These locations match the clubs’ and Highland Golf Links’ official visitor information.

Entry arrangements and the conditional prize fund

The proposed field is 36 four-player teams, combining women professionals and amateurs. Highland Golf Links is targeting approximately £12,000 in professional prize money, but stresses that the figure depends both on a full 36-team field and securing sponsorship. It must not be mistaken for a guaranteed purse.

The organiser lists an entry fee of £3,180 (£2,650 plus VAT), with accommodation excluded. The included programme covers a tournament round at each course, an opening reception, on-course hospitality, nearest-the-pin awards and team prizes. An optional practice round on Sunday, 2 May, is quoted at approximately £500 per tee time and is separate from the principal entry package. Prospective players should verify the latest team-entry requirements and travel arrangements with the organiser before booking.

Why the announcement matters for course access

The story is not a new-course opening, renovation or general change to the clubs’ visitor policies. It is the launch of a dedicated women’s competitive route linking three sought-after Scottish courses during one coordinated trip. A report published by Golf Business News on 27 October 2026 described the concept as combining high-level play with Highland hospitality and destination tourism.

The new Women’s Pro-Am on 3–5 May 2027 should not be confused with the separate, established Highland Golf Links Pro-Am scheduled for autumn 2027. Entries, field size and final prize arrangements remain subject to the organiser’s confirmation.
