A year after a Fujikura driver shaft helped win all four major championships, the brand again topped the PGA Tour’s driver-shaft win list. Jack Hirsh reported the figures for GOLF.com.

Fujikura did not complete another major sweep in 2026, but it again led all brands in PGA Tour driver-shaft victories. The Ventus lineup produced more wins than any other brand’s entire catalog, while the Ventus Black profile alone matched the win total of the second-place brand.

The PGA Tour driver-shaft market is effectively controlled by three brands: Fujikura, Mitsubishi and Project X. Mitsubishi and Project X had strong seasons, but both continue to trail Fujikura.

Winningest driver shafts of the 2026 FedEx Cup season

1. Fujikura Ventus Black / Ventus Black+ — 11 wins by nine players

Ventus Black remains the leading driver shaft on the PGA Tour. It is used by established players Rory McIlroy (6-X) and Gary Woodland (8-X+), as well as young stars Akshay Bhatia (7-X) and Michael Thorbjornsen (7-X+).

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler continues to use the original Ventus Black, even after switching to the new TaylorMade Qi4D driver. Alex Fitzpatrick (6-X) and Ricky Castillo (7-X) also won with the original Ventus Black.

The original Ventus Black profile alone would have totaled seven wins. Gary Woodland, Thorbjornsen, J.J. Spaun (6-X) and Bud Cauley (6-X) added four more with the updated VeloCore+ version.

2. Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black — four wins by two players

HZRDUS Smoke Black was one of four shafts used by a three-time winner this season. It moved into second place because Chris Gotterup had a breakout season with it and Russell Henley added another win.

Gotterup is among the PGA Tour’s longest hitters, while Henley is among its shortest. Their results underline the versatility of the HZRDUS Smoke Black profile.

T3. Project X Titan Yellow — three wins by one player

The Project X Titan family made a noticeable impact on the PGA Tour this season, but the counterbalanced Titan Yellow stood out. Wyndham Clark won three times with the shaft in his driver, including the U.S. Open.

Clark won immediately after switching to Titan Yellow, one week before its official PGA Tour launch, and captured his second U.S. Open a few weeks later. It was about as strong an instant validation as possible.

T3. Mitsubishi Tensei AV Raw Orange — three wins by one player

Like Clark with Titan Yellow, Matt Fitzpatrick was the only player to win this season with Mitsubishi Tensei AV Raw Orange—and with any Tensei Orange profile. He won three times. It is the same shaft Fitzpatrick has used for all of his PGA Tour victories.

Ironically, Fitzpatrick switched back to a Titleist TSi3 driver this year and is using the same setup that won the 2022 U.S. Open.

T5. Fujikura Ventus TR Black+ — two wins by two players

Unlike Fitzpatrick’s Tensei Orange, the Ventus TR Black with VeloCore+ is a brand-new shaft on the PGA Tour this season. It debuted in March alongside the updated Ventus TR Red, following the January launch of the new Ventus TR Blue.

Success came quickly for what Fujikura calls its stiffest shaft ever. Viktor Hovland switched from his G425 LST/Speeder TR combination to the G440 LST and TR Black+, then won two weeks later at the Travelers.

Fujikura also earned its second major of the season with the shaft when Ryan Fox switched to it just before winning The Open Championship.

T5. Mitsubishi Diamana PD — two wins by one player

Cameron Young began the season with the Mitsubishi Tensei Orange and is now playing a Diamana blackboard prototype. However, both of his wins came with the older Diamana PD.

The model remains one of the most popular on Tour: Young still uses it in his 7-wood, Xander Schauffele uses it in his driver, and J.J. Spaun uses it in his fairway woods.
