Anthony Kim, once a star of the global golf scene, has returned to the spotlight after a twelve-year absence. In 2024, he made a comeback as a player in the LIV Golf tournament, but his journey proved challenging. Over two seasons, Kim failed to earn points in the individual standings and finished the year in 55th place, leading to his exclusion from the tournament.
Despite the setbacks, Kim does not rule out the possibility of returning to LIV through a special Promotions event. Currently, he is considering participation in the Asian Tour, though final plans for 2026 remain uncertain.
Kim notes that his game is gradually improving, and he hopes for further progress: "I need to participate in more tournaments to regain my form. Hopefully, next year I can perform better." Nonetheless, Kim also mentioned that his participation in the Asian Tour might be less active than initially planned.
This week, Kim is competing in a tournament in Hong Kong, where the winner will earn the right to compete in the Masters and the Open Championship in 2026. Despite trailing behind leader Tom McKibbin, his scores of 68 and 67 in the first two rounds have been his best since returning to the professional arena.
