The 2026 BMW Championship is the second event of the FedEx Cup playoffs. This week, the tournament is being held at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Mo. It's the final chance for golfers to make it into the top 30 of the FedEx Cup standings and qualify for the season-ending Tour Championship.

How to watch BMW Championship

This week’s BMW Championship is the second FedEx Cup playoff event and the final tournament before the season-ending Tour Championship. Fifty players have survived to play this week, while many popular pros did not make the cut, including Jordan Spieth, Max Homa, and Michael Kim.

But most of the biggest PGA Tour stars are in the field, including Scottie Scheffler, who has a huge lead in the FedEx Cup standings following his win at last week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship. Rory McIlroy is also teeing it up at the BMW, but he’s in a much different place than Scheffler. McIlroy played last week, too, but he struggled mightily and nearly finished in last place.

Scheffler, McIlroy, and 48 other players will be battling across Bellerive CC this week hoping to make it into the top 30 to qualify for the Tour Championship.

CBS, Golf Channel, and ESPN will provide TV coverage of the 2026 BMW Championship, while PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ will offer streaming coverage and featured group coverage. Paramount+ will air simulcasts of CBS’s coverage. Complete TV schedule and streaming information can be found below.

The BMW Championship 2026 is a pivotal tournament that determines which golfers will advance in the FedEx Cup chase. This year's event will be held at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Mo. It serves as the second-to-last event of the PGA Tour playoffs, after which only the top 30 players will head to the season-ending Tour Championship.

The field this year is particularly compelling. FedEx Cup points leader Scottie Scheffler, despite his commanding position, continues to compete in all events, aiming to finish the season strong. His rivals, including Rory McIlroy, who is navigating a challenging period, will be fighting for every stroke to improve their rankings. The absence of players like Jordan Spieth, Max Homa, and Michael Kim underscores the high level of competition and the difficulty of qualifying this year.

The tournament at Bellerive Country Club promises to be intense. Players will be striving to perform at their best, not only to keep their FedEx Cup championship hopes alive but also to secure their place among the elite field at the Tour Championship. For many, this is their last chance to showcase their top game before the season's final crescendo.

The broadcast schedule will allow fans to follow every moment of the tournament. Television coverage will be provided by major sports networks, while online platforms will offer additional viewing options, including exclusive coverage of featured groups and individual holes. This ensures that no critical moment of the competition goes unnoticed.

The BMW Championship 2026 is more than just another tournament; it's a decisive stage in the race for one of golf's most prestigious titles. The results this week will determine which stars continue their journey toward the FedEx Cup summit and which will see their season conclude sooner than expected.
