The PGA TOUR has confirmed the field for the 2026 VidantaWorld Mexico Open, scheduled for October 29–November 1 at Vidanta Vallarta in Mexico. The 120-player competition marks the fifth stop of the FedExCup Fall. With a $6 million purse and 500 FedExCup points available to the winner, it is an important opportunity for players seeking to strengthen their position before the season concludes.
Wyndham Clark, ranked world No. 5 when the field was announced, is the marquee entrant. The lineup also features Ben Griffin, Tom Kim, Max Homa and Corey Conners. Two former Mexico Open winners are returning: defending champion Brian Campbell, who won in 2025, and Tony Finau, the 2023 champion. Their experience adds a compelling storyline to a field that also includes a number of emerging PGA TOUR talents.
The host nation will have players to follow. Álvaro Ortiz, Omar Morales, Santiago de la Fuente, Mauricio Figueroa Ramírez and Alejandro Fierro all appear on the tournament field list. Tournament organizers say the latter two earned their places through qualifying. For Mexican fans, the event is therefore more than a visit from the international tour: it offers a chance to watch several domestic golfers compete on the same stage.
The event returns to an autumn date after its recent spring editions. Organizers have also described a modified course routing, placing holes 18, 9, 1 and 10 within a more compact area intended to improve the flow of spectators and tournament operations. This should not be confused with a claim that the entire course has been rebuilt.
The opening round is scheduled for Thursday, October 29, with the final round on Sunday, November 1. Entries can still change if players withdraw. This report is based on the PGA TOUR's October 23 “Inside the Field” update, the tournament's official website and Golf Channel's October 23 field report. No rounds had been played at the time of writing.
